California Trip

So…we’re back in Paris. Jetlag is starting to wear off and tomorrow I’m flying home to Dublin.

I just said goodbye to Nic who’s jetting off to Emily in Bangkok. Yes Bangkok. Some are making the most of this recession it seems. Not jealous at all because I get to go to sunny Dublin tomorrow AND I have work to look forward to on Monday. Boo-ya! (more…)

I made the most of the opportunity to chill out here, while Nic went for a 3hr ride around the area. Tomorrow we’re off to Reno via Carson City and Virgina City. We chose the tackiest hotel we could find in Reno and I’m dying to get there and experience the kitsch madness of the mini-Vegas! (more…)

California Trip

A few hours into the day I was wondering if I’d have much to write about.
The road from Klamath falls was great: dead straight, went up and down like a roller-coaster and we had it entirely to ourselves.
Great fun but not much to write home about. We made it to Mount Shasta, a nice little town at the foot of its namesake which is meant to be one of the highest mountains in the area. (more…)
