Helvetica, Neville Brody & typography

I came across a feature-length documentary on the typeface called Helvetica, and on typography in general. Although it’s a bit of a classic…I have yet to see it in full…

Below is an excerpt with veteran typographer and art director Neville Brody, discussing the impact of typography on branding through creating an atmosphere and an identity.

I’ve always found the cult that some fanatics dedicate to helvetica a bit odd.
I wonder if plumbers or electricians get as excited about a particular Black & Decker screwdriver…

Anyway, here’s a few links for those who are doubtful that Helvetifreaks do exist…and for those who have a genuine interest.
I have to admit some of it is pretty cool…
